COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Jordan Jones led No. 5 Texas A&M with 15 points and 10 assists as the Aggies cruised past Northwestern State 75-42 on Wednesday.
Courtney Walker added 10 points for the Aggies (8-0), who led 40-21 at halftime.
Janelle Perez led the Lady Demons (4-2) with nine points. The fast-breaking Aggies held a 17-3 advantage in points off turnovers.
Jones went 3 of 4 from 3-point range and added seven rebounds for Texas A&M. Northwestern State’s game plan included 31 3-point attempts, but the Lady Demons connected on only five shots from beyond the arc.
The Aggies finished 53 percent from the field compared to 28 percent for their opponents in front of an afternoon crowd of 7,712 on elementary school day.
